Hands down the best savory grits I ever had. The shrimp were just shrimp. The fish& waffle received a 5/5. The fried devil egg was not for me but not horrible. Asked the waitress for recommendations and she suggested the cheese grits with cajun cream. She didn't mention it was an extra 10 bucks. While it was good, not sure I would have paid 10 bucks for a different sauce. I would go back. Staff was friendly.

The service was excellent. The hostess was kind and my server, Chris gave me great recommendations. The food was 10/10. Ibstatted with the collard green dip then I had the catfish and grits with bacon bits and the peach cobbler waffle. Everything was seasoned to perfection.

Gritz n Waffles is officially on my LA rotation. The food is comfort with flavor…crispy, well-seasoned, and made like somebody’s auntie is in the kitchen (in the best way). Portions are solid, everything came out hot, and the vibe feels welcoming. If you’re craving real soul food with that sweet-and-savory fix, this is the spot. I’m already planning my next visit.
